Audrey O’ Connor’s background for years has been in Sports therapy, Rehabilitation and Personal training. She then began to explore Pilates as a tool to supplement her Rehabilitation & Personal Training work and went down the Stott Pilates and Polestar Pilates route. After training with the Stott Pilates method under the guidance of Joe MacCathy, Pilates became her passion. After working in the industry for years with an array of clients ranging from strength and conditioning top class athletes to clients with various disc pathologies, Audrey then furthered her studies with Polestar Pilates UK and qualified as a Polestar Pilates Practitioner. The Comprehensive qualification with Polestar Pilates UK qualifies Audrey to use the Ladder Barrel, reformer, Chair, Trapeze Table and spine corrector with all of her clients.

In every Pilates session Audrey incorporates strength, conditioning and toning muscles, while encouraging better movement and facilitating spinal health, patterns and postures. Audrey is always continuing her own professional development and updating her skills at home and abroad. To be a great Pilates instructor you must practice what you preach! Audrey practices Pilates daily while supplementing pilates training workouts with resistance training with weights, yoga and hiking (especially at home in Dingle) and consuming a balanced vegetarian diet. Audrey truly believes that once you incorporate Pilates into your weekly routine it becomes part of your lifestyle. It is amazing to work daily in profession that increases your clients body awareness, health, tonicity, digestive and breathing patterns and overall wellness.
